Jantando no Upper West Side

Ainda quando a Bruna estava aqui em Nova York fomos andando pelas ruas perto do hotel dela em busca de um lugar bacana pra jantarmos. Opções não faltavam e acabamos escolhendo o Brother Jimmy's   BBQ que nos chamou atenção pela decoração super legal. Decidimos arriscar, se a comida não  fosse boa, pelo menos renderia boas fotos! No final gostei tanto que decidi fazer post aqui pra vocês!  O restaurante serve opções com o tempero e hospitalidade típicas do estado da Carolina do Norte. Eu não posso falar muito da comida porque eles não tinham muitas opções vegetarianas e acabei pedindo sweet potato fries (batata frita doce, já provaram?), que eu amo, e a Bruna pediu um sanduíche que vinha acompanhado de batata frita normal. Além da decoração que me deixou super encantada, o ambiente era tão  gostoso e informal que tinha até uns casais dançando (a música estava bem legal) enquanto outros brincavam com as máquinas de fliperama  ou dividiam drinks mega gigantes de canudinho! O restaurante tem uma vibe mais de bar e foi uma experiência diferente pra  Bruna que ainda é "de menor" aqui.
A noite foi super gostosa e eu já estou com saudade de bater perna com ela por essa cidade que eu amo tanto!

When Bruna was still in New York we were walking around the hotel she was staying at looking for a nice place to have dinner. There were many options available but we ended up choosing Brother Jimmy's BBQ, that caught our attention for the cool decoration. We decided to try, if the food wasn't good, at least we would take good pictures! At the end I liked it so much that I've decided to blog about it! The restaurant serves southern style food, typical from North Carolina. I can't say much about the food because they didn't have many vegetarian options so I ended up having sweet potato fries, which I love, and Bruna had a burger with regular fries. Besides the decoration, the place has a very informal atmosphere, there were a few couples dancing around to the cool music while others were playing with the video game machines or were sharing gigantic drinks with straws. The place has a vibe similar to a bar so it was a cool experience for Bruna, who is not 21 yet. The evening was so nice and I already miss walking around NY with her!

Sailor Moon International Day in New York!

Um dia antes do aniversário da  heroína japonesa mais querida do mundo, um grupo de fãs entusiasmados se reúniram pela segunda vez para comemorar a data em grande estilo, com um evento transmitido ao vivo para o mundo todo através do YouTube. Entitulado International Sailor Moon Day, o dia foi super gostoso, teve concurso de cosplay, torneio de jogos, rifas, entrevistas, trivias, apresentação do grupo Senshi Generation e muito mais! Fãs de todas as gerações compartilharam o amor pela série e foi muito divertido, eu sempre muito empolgada saí tirando foto com todos os cosplays que encontrei pela frente e achei o máximo ter desafiado a própria V-chan da foto abaixo em uma partida de video game! O evento foi super bem organizado e todos estão ansiosos para a estreia mundial de Sailor Moon Crystal, no dia 5 de Julho (mais informações AQUI). Não pude ficar até o final porque tinha um ensaio para fotografar no Central Park, mas registrei pra vocês um pouquinho do que rolou! Até o ano que vem e muuuito obrigada pelo convite!! The day before world's most famous japanese super hero birthday, a group of exciting fans, gathered in New York for the second time to celebrate in style,  with an event streamed live to the world through YouTube. Entitled "International Sailor Moon Day," it was a fun afternoon filled with cosplay contest, game tournaments, interviews, videos, raffles, trivia, performance by the Senshi Generation group and much more! Fans from different generations were there sharing their love for the series and it was an absolutely once in a life time experience! I was, of course, super excited taking photos with all the cosplayers that were there and it was sooo cool to play the SM video game with the one and only V-chan ^^ The event was very well organized and everyone can't wait for the  world premiere of Sailor Moon Crystal on July 5th (more info HERE). I couldn't stay until the end because I had an engagement session to shoot at Central Park but I tried to register as much as possible of what happened that day! See you next year and thank  you soooo much for the invitation!  Happy Birthday Usagi-chan!!
